For this assignment I felt the subject matter was a no brainer to me because everything I do is for the betterment of my daughter but even though the subject matter was easy for me to get the how was the most difficult portion of this assignment. I knew that I wanted to stick with creating a photograph because currently I am trying to build my skill with the form of art, and I wanted to make something that I could keep and give to my daughter. When looking thought the internet for ideas I stumbled on a photo mosaic and remembered how cool they were when I first saw one 41 years ago. It really stuck with me because I've always wanted to create one and now is my chance since I am in a photography class and learning the digital aspects of art. Now how do I put this together well... I don’t know so I will figure that part out, but I know that my idea is to have the focus of the project be a picture of my daughter that is made up of many pictures of family members that are close to me and ultimately are a network of support for my daughter. Long story short... my daughter's mother is not around to give support in her daughter's life and at times my daughter feels alone due to that fact. I wanted to create something that she can have on her wall and see the many people that love her and support her at any given moment in her life. Athena is the focus of the photograph because she is clearly my daughter and anyone that is there to offer help or support to my daughter is also my family.
